Happy Birthday Davida! - Shrimp & Grits

Today's Recipe...
Shrimp and Grits

compliments of Cory T.

Shrimp & sauce
3 or 4 slices of bacon
½ medium onion, chopped
1 ½ lb cleaned shrimp
2 Tbsp flour
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
½ to 1 c. water
Fry bacon and remove from pan.
Add onions to drippings and cook on medium heat until tender.
Add shrimp and stir until pink.
Add flour and stir until brown. Will be lumpy.
Add Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
Add water.
Stir until smooth and thickened gravy.
Serve over grits.
*Tip: Cook grits with ½ chicken broth, ½ water for more savory grits.
